Assumption University Celebrates the Birthday of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua
Bangkok, Thailand – Assumption University’s administrators, faculty, students, and staff came together on July 27, 2023, to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the birthday of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. The joyous ceremonies were held at both the Suvarnabhumi Campus and Hua Mak Campus, meticulously organized by the Office of Thai Art and Culture.
The event commenced at 10:00 am at the Suvarnabhumi Campus, where attendees, dressed in the auspicious color of yellow, symbolizing the day (Monday) of the King’s birth and expressing their profound devotion to the monarchy, gathered to pay their utmost respects to His Majesty.
Ceremonial tributes to the revered King were offered by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the President of AU. With great reverence, attendees united to sing the “Royal Anthem,” exhibiting their heartfelt loyalty and admiration for the beloved monarch.
At 4:00 pm, the celebrations continued at the Hua Mak Campus, where the atmosphere was filled with warmth and admiration for the King. “Felicitous Poems” in both English and Thai were eloquently recited at both ceremonies, evoking a sense of admiration for the King’s benevolence and dedication to his people.
The occasion held profound significance as it allowed the entire Assumption University community to come together as one, expressing their sincere gratitude for the leadership and grace of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.
Both events culminated in a moving tribute with the participation of all attendees joining in the touching rendition of the “Sadudee Jomracha Song.” This soul-stirring moment reflected the unity and deep respect that the university holds for His Majesty.
